Huh? I get not liking the writing for Brooke but if Brooke is ill she will have lots of people to support her.

I don’t even understand what your talking about Brooke has tons of people in her life that would support her Bill, Liam, Hope, Eric, Katie, Donna even Deacon.
And what you as a fan consider good material is not necessarily what an actress finds fun to play. For example I hate women arguing over a man but both KA and KKL enjoy filming those scenes.
Not to mention when you have worked somewhere for 35 years there is a certain amount of loyalty on both sides. You may hate this story but know it will turnaround eventually.
All actors are not the same the type of actor that plays the same role for 35 years is just happy to get paid to do what they love everyday.

I'm sure all those people would help Brooke if she were dying, but I'm also pretty sure, even if the doctor tells her she has something terminal, she will recover and be fine. I don't know how Ridge feels about RJ. He didn't pay much attention to his kids with Taylor until now, but I do know the woman Ridge loves and always has loved is Brooke. He's never pined for Taylor, but he has pined for Brooke every time he's not with her. Even if Brooke were to die, which she won't, I'm sure Ridge would never be happy. He'd be devastated.

I know how you feel. She can definitely get other work even at this stage in her career. What’s happening has been too much for so many to experience. If that happens I will not only stop watching Bold, I will also not watch GH which I've never watched anyway. I'm sure I'm not the only one that watches Bold only. I'm in my 40s and I have no interest in starting to watch a soap where I don't know anyones history or back story or the characters. If KKL does this it would be to her detriment, because she will be a stranger to the viewers of GH and it will take a long time for them to be invested in her character.
Speaking of how she's being written on Bold, my personal opinion is that at this time Ridge, Taylor and Steffy are written way worse. If I was a fan of any of these three I honestly wouldn't know the first thing to say to defend them. Ridge has always been obnoxious and selfish so his behaviour is not a surprise. KA for some reason is playing Taylor to be a ridiculous, pathetic twit, and according to her Twitter she seems to be really enjoying herself, plus she is on contract till 2023 so she isn't going anywhere.
If any of the actors were to consider leaving at this point because of how they're written, I would think that would be JMW. She's still young, she's an Emmy winner and bursting with talent. She will have no problem getting other projects. And I can't imagine she is happy with how Steffy is being written at this time.

I don't like how she's being bashed nonstop while not allowed to push back and say anything in return. I don't like how her sins from 30 years ago are constantly being brought up and yet she isn't allowed to bring up anything bad that Taylor and Steffy did. I also don't like the revisionist history that they are currently showing. As a day 1 viewer I feel insulted by it. And I don't like how Brooke is letting Ridge walk all over her and not speaking up and demanding some respect.
But having said all that, I don't think any of the above is a reason for KKL to leave. Brooke is the one that's being trashed, and walked over, not KKL. In fact I think KKL would be happy that she's finally being written as a mature, sensible, dedicated, loving wife and mother, who is giving her everything to fight for her marriage and support her daughter. That is way, way more than can be said about how Steffy and Taylor are currently being written. If Ridge leaves Brooke for Taylor, my only hope is that Brooke will continue to show the maturity that she's currently showing and stay put. Or if she goes after him it's not to get him back, but to tell him something vital that he needs to know.

I can't remember who it was, but someone on this board very rightly said they have pushed Brooke so far to the bottom that now she has nowhere to go but up. And I wasn't watching during the Deacon affair but I can't imagine that this is worse than that? I would imagine that would be the height of trashing the Brooke character, to the point that not just the characters, but even the viewers still bring it up, decades later. I think for the actress if there was a time to leave, that would have been it. Heck, Taylor killing Darla and almost killing Bill and indirectly being responsible for her own daughters death and violating her Hippocratic Oath isn't maligned as much as Brooke sleeping with her SIL is. To this day I have never understood why, but there it is.
And if they keep trashing Brooke, of course the show will keep bleeding viewers until BB gets it through his thick head that Brookes fanbase is way bigger than the wannabes and remembers the shows history very well.
Having said that though, we really don't know how KKL feels about the storyline. She may be having the time of her life finally playing something else other than the sex siren. I personally am enjoying this side of Brooke though I do wish she would give some pushback and not be such a doormat for Ridge. Maybe she knows something we don't know. We just have to wait and see. Hi, took me long time to get the jest of general hospital as the blasts from ancient time relatives is confusing but now I think it’s excellent and it’s not all rewash romances they hire a lot of new to keep it interesting ..and they knock characters off which would be good here a lot of dead wood with same story lines

It’s definitely easier for a young person to move on…..I can’t see a older actress or acter leaving a guaranteed paycheck why not just ride it out …..it’s a silly soap you get a script you do it ..no big deal roll with it

I can't see KKL leaving and going to another soap opera. She"s been loyal to Bold for years. I think this illness could be a good story for her.

KKL could leave acting. She has much more going for her than just her acting. Her clothing line and her physical fitness activities.
She's stayed because she's loyal to the show and the folks she helped build it with who have been there since Day 1 like herself.
It is interesting that she is the only one who has not been interviewed about how she feels about this Tridge garbage. We've heard from KA and JMW at nauseum about why their characters are doing what they are and justifying it. We've even heard from MA and TK about it a bit. But conveniently not her. Hmmmm...

I don't think KKL is going anywhere, but I certainly wouldn't blame her if she did because of the horrible writing for her character. That being said, I wonder if Bell has decided to do this to Brooke because for the longest time people on this board have always said that she is Bell's golden girl, is always favored by him, and can do no wrong in his eyes. If that's true, maybe Bell is trying to change that image. IMHO, Brooke is the center of B&B, and without her there would be no reason to stay on the air. I personally don't think the show would survive one minute without Brooke Logan.
