I think you're right. Liam will always turn to Steffy when there's trouble with Hope, not Brooke. I would think Finn would be very unhappy with Steffy's plotting. Finn's such a straight arrow, very vanilla.

I actually watched the show and I don't get the vibe of Thope at all..since Hope has shown no romantic interest in Thomas at all.
And Finn has no issues with Steffy plotting, they were all standing there laughing and acting like Steffy intercepting Brooke's call was so sweet and cute.

Shown on screen, Steffy blackmailed Bill. Yet, she told Ivy (and Liam too) that “blackmail is a crime”. Per Steffy’s own words, she IS a criminal cuz she has blackmailed.

It would be full circle irony. Hope, who only exists because Brooke stole her daughter's husband, loses her husband to Brooke.

My opinion, but Bell would be out of his gourd to write another mother take's daughter's husband, boyfriend,etc. Brooke would not have a leg to stand on I don't care how many medical crisis she has. Brooke would lose her fan base I fear. The program would not recover from this.

I can see the writers teasing it and observing how the audience reacts. A few hugs, a few suspicious looks. They accidentally end up in the hammam together. Maybe some kind of terrific situation like with Thomas on the island.

But taking their clothes off and sleeping together? Very unlikely. She didn't sleep with Thomas no matter how much he was dreaming about it, so I can't see her crossing this line with Liam.

I doubt that will happen. But if it does I'd watch it for one reason only. To see Steffy go insane with rage and jealousy that Liam actually turned to Brooke instead of her again

I don't think this is about Brookes humiliation. I think this is more about trying to make Brooke look bad any way possible because Taylor and Steffy at this time look absolutely terrible. For months now Brooke has been the only mature one on the show, and maybe Hope. All she has been doing is trying to save her marriage and support her daughter so there's really nothing to bash her for unless one goes back at least a year to NYE and that too wouldn't have happened without manipulation.

They want more than anything for show to prove that Brooke is the worse female character in soap history. i am not watching now but I would never watch this show again, not ever if the show created that kind of plot. KKL doesn’t get credit now because because of the characters sex life. I truly believe that. Men can do anything. Sheila shot her son and daughter law. You can commit any sin in this world. A man can sleep with his daughter in law but Brooke’s affair with Deacon in particular destroyed her as a character in eyes of many people. If I were her agent and they present her with more demeaning plots, I would encourage her to move on.

Kelly has said this over and over that she will NOT do any other stories like the Deacon story ever again.
She knows and is well aware of the damage that did to her character. But the show was still on the rise then and with the Big 4 still there she wanted to be a team player. She doesn't have to be anymore. Again Gracie I ask...WHY aren't they talking to her? Why is she choosing to stay quiet when her character is being destroyed and certain people have spoken out on social media even? WHY? Probably because she has grace and the professionalism to be more tactful than others in her cast.
