Thomas has never had a story outside of Hope since MA (General)
I noticed that ever since MA was hired, his character has never had a storyline that didn’t involve Hope in some way.

That's not too encouraging then and now we are in the midst of another one with Douglas and Thomas and Hope trying to resolve that who should Douglas live with full time.
Thomas can say all he wants to that he wants to work this out but he makes NO effort to take Douglas home even when he is not with him half the time, Douglas is away doing something else. Even when Hope and then Lam have come to take Douglas home, Douglas isn't there and there is no transfer of course.
But Thomas does not miss a beat when talking to anyone he forcefully says Douglas should be living with him now, he's been with Hope long enough. He has NO intention of turning that boy over.

Douglas is a pawn for Thomas to get Hope and it seems like it’s working this time in The New Bold And The Beautiful.
I don't see it working at all. Hope has shown no romantic interest in Thomas whatsoever.
NONE.
Bell said from the very beginning that Thope is NOT root worthy and he hasn't changed his tune at all.

Shown on screen, Steffy blackmailed Bill. Yet, she told Ivy (and Liam too) that “blackmail is a crime”. Per Steffy’s own words, she IS a criminal cuz she has blackmailed.

I don’t trust Bell. He claimed we were going to get a unique story for Lope that wasn’t a triangle yet here we are with the umpteenth round of Thomas Wants Hope, Liam worried she’ll fall for his schemes and Hope being naive about him, complete with laughs and smiles with him after he admitted to being pro-Steffy’s scheme against her mom and them comparing themselves to Romeo and Juliet.
The B&B before the rewrites might have made Hope not interested in Thomas but The New B&B, I wouldn’t put anything past the writers. They are not writing people in character at all.

Still none of these scenes she shared with him meant she's falling for him and falling out of love with her husband at all. IMO, she doesn't want to put Douglas in the middle of a nasty custody battle is all..she wants to be civil with him is all..nothing more.

I know MA auditionned with AN around November 2018. He was picked among 3 other actors to play Thomas.
I still think the 2 actors have mad chemistry. At first I really wanted them to get together. They had some nice bonding moments with Douglas after Caroline's funerals. I hate that they made Thomas an obsessed stalker so fast. They never took time to develop his character. He went from a grieving, heartbroken parent to a full-blown villain in a minute. That was a stupid move. I still believe he really does love Hope, in his own way. I believe more in Thomas' love for Hope, than Taylor's love for Ridge or Steffy's for Finn, for example. Even if he is crazy, I don't think he would screw up if she gave him a chance. He would really be grateful and become a better guy. But I also understand why this pairing would be problematic, after what he did. And knowing how he feels about Hope's mother and her aunts. I wanted them together at first, but now I don't know. As long as he is Steffy and Taylor's lapdog and uses his son, Hope shouldn't even be his friend...
We will see if one of the new characters (who's supposed to arrive this Fall) will be for Thomas. Or if they keep him in Hope and Liam's section. It really depends on the long-term plans the writers have for his character.

I highly doubt a new character is coming for him.
Thomas also hates Beth, she was part of the “dead Logans” in his fantasy.
And unless Liam gives up his rights to Beth (which wouldn’t shock me with how bad the show is being written), Thomas will always feel threatened by Beth.

Thomas came back in March of 2019 so not four years yet. But 3 1/2 years is way to long to keep him stuck in that stupid Hope cycle when the actor is capable of so much more. TPTB are wasting him IMO.

I can’t speak to what MA actually wants or doesn’t want. I can only give my opinion of the s/l he has been stuck in since he returned and that it sucks as far as I’m concerned. Time to move him out of it.

They haven't given him anything interesting for so long, I don't care if he disappears. No disrespect to MA, who I think is a good actor and quite good looking. Not my type, but I'm not on the show, so my type is irrelevant.
