I wonder if Mr wonderful dropped it at the scene. Maybe Thomas will discover buddies body on the way home and see the phone . That would make for some excitement

Better yet, as most people know national cell phone companies can pinpoint areas where customers have been. They can check the pings off cell towers. Many criminals have been caught in lies and in the areas of body dumps by cell phone information.
Bell may not use this fact in the story but Liam and Bill's phones hold clues should anyone care to look.

That's possible. The other poster said, "Better yet," so I thought that meant she was giving a different theory from yours. If they find the phone there, they don't need GPS to tell them Liam's phone has been on the crime scene.
I think you are right. It is there, and that's why they call Hope down to ID Liam.

I scanned through yesterday s show and it showed a piece of paper beside Liam where he passed out but I didn't see a phone
