Finn's words about Poppy and Luna don't make any sense

Maybe I'm missing something but if I put myself in Finn's shoes for a minute, nothing he says makes sense.
He has sex (Unprotected) with Poppy. He was 18-19, not 12-13. A few weeks later, he learns she is pregnant. 9 months later, Luna was born.
Poppy tells him he is not the father. The 1st question I'd have is : how is she 100% sure unless she did a test?
It's common sense. Poppy claiming Finn was not the father directly implies 1 fact : there was (at least) one other candidate.
This is the 1st thing I'd have asked Poppy. "You claim I'm not the dad, but if you slept with me, another man or more, how do you know this for sure? Did a paternity test confirm it?"
Poppy could not be sure without a test, therefore Finn could never be sure either. He never suggested a paternity test. He ignored the timing of Luna's birth and never asked more questions... until now.
20 years later all of a sudden, he has doubts. A new test reveals Tom Starr isn't the father and out of nowhere, he remembers he and Poppy had sex and realizes deep down he should have doubts.
So he finally runs a paternity test and surprise, it's positive. Now he wants to put all the blame on Poppy, even though he fully acknowledges he enjoyed their night and doesn't regret it.
He says Poppy lied to him, but did she? It was a half lie at worst. She had sex with Finn, Tom and Bill (maybe more) and never did a test. She lied about her doubts, but she never knew the identity of the father.
If there were "only" 3 candidates, then Poppy knew there were 67% of chances Finn wasn't the father.
Without a paternity test, Finn should not have removed himself from the list of candidates. The fact that he did a test now proves he always had his doubts. I can not take his wrath against Poppy seriously.
Blaming Poppy for Luna's behavior is cruel too. Having multiple partners, moving from cities to cities and not knowing her father doesn't justify murdering innocent people.
A character like Wyatt had a similar childhood as Luna. An unstable mother with crazy genes, who didn't know who his father was. And he was not a psychotic killer.
Luna did what she did because she is an evil person, not because of Poppy. If she inherited anyone's genes, it's Sheila's, thus Finn's. Poppy has issues but she is nothing like Sheila and Luna.
Even if Finn raised Luna, it may not have changed anything. She would still be this same dangerous young girl capable of murders.

I hope this reveal won't be dragged out until May sweeps. And I hope the angst is not going to take over the show for 6 months.
If Finn does not reveal these secrets, it is fraud and a giant one because this is directly putting Steffy, Kelly and Hayes in danger. Luna is half free and could show up at the cliff house any time to finish what she started, if she wants.
Steffy will have a valid reason to annul this marriage if she knows Finn knew and lied, and if later Luna causes more damages.
If he wants to have a relationship with Luna outside of a jail cell or a psych ward, this will also endager his family.
The only way Finn can save his marriage from this is if he reveals everything now and makes it clear Luna will be behind bars for years.
Luna has not changed and I don't think Sheila is healed either. If Finn decides to prioritize them, I hope Steffy won't be as forgiving and understanding for once. She gave him enough chances over the years.
If she moves out again, I hope it will be the final time.
Steffy is one if not the last reason why I'm still watching this show. I don't necesseraly want her back with Liam or any man; but I think a long or permanent break from Finn and his dangerous family will be benefical.
I'm ready for her to put this dark chapter behind her and move on... I don't know what's coming next but I hope she will be done with Finn, Poppy, Sheila, Luna and her parent trap.

He didn’t learn she was pregnant a few weeks later though I think he said at one point she just took off. And down the line he found out she had Luna. Unless I missed something.

He still could have demanded a paternity test but he trusted Poppy would tell the truth. Beyond that I agree I just think he didn’t want to think about it. Poppy gave him the answer he wanted. And i think Poppy’s strategy was just not to test anyone then she could be in denial without actually lying.
