I thought that was explained as the model Lainey telling Finn Steffy was in there. He wanted to give Steffy her tablet.

I didn’t watch that episode. I was wondering why Finn had to put it on Steffy’s hand rather than leave it in her office or with an assistant. Everyone just seems to show up and do what ever they want.

As someone else mentioned Ridge and Carter were having a very loud discussion in the CEO office so if he went there first he would have been unlikely to knock.
