I agree wirh you but it's not even that to make me mad. If they found a more articulated way to create the misunderstanding, same result, and I could accept that but like this it seems a gag from the Benny Hill Show.
Even the Benny Hill show is better than this crap..that is how bad this writing is. IMO, they need to let go of this Hope vs. Steffy nonsense once and for all..especially since they absolutely refuses to have bully Steffy face consequences of her evill deeds in the last several years.

Shown on screen, Steffy blackmailed Bill. Yet, she told Ivy (and Liam too) that “blackmail is a crime”. Per Steffy’s own words, she IS a criminal cuz she has blackmailed.
