Is anyone else excited for Taylor's return?

I'm really curious to see how RB is going to portray Taylor. I actually liked Taylor once upon a time way back in the 90s/early 2000s, Hunter Tylo was absolutely amazing in the role, her version of Taylor went through all the emotions. Her first few years she was a kind, professional sophisticated woman, by her return in 2005 the character was a complete hysterical train wreck. Hunter And KKL had amazing chemistry and did so good with their fight scenes, the Brooke/Taylor rivalry during the HT years was probably one of the best rivalries In soap history. And then came the last recast Krista, who portrayed the character the exact opposite of how Hunter did, basically like a 14 year old girl and it didn't work on a soap opera, it was comedic yet tragic. As horrible as the OG Taylor was in her final years, she never acted like a giggly school girl, it was like the character had a complete personality transplant and I don't only blame the writing because KA stated that she improvised a lot. I have nothing against KA and she is a good actress but soaps are not for her. With Rebecca Budig I'm excited because in the past, Rebecca has played more serious, mature and dramatic roles than Krista did, Krista spent years doing comedy movies and stand up comedy and brought that to B&B, her acting style was drastically different from HT's, I hope Rebecca brings back the OG Taylor Hayes and finally redeems the character once and for all, I have a feeling her portrayal of Taylor will be similar to HT's, seeing that RB and HT have similar acting styles. RB has a more mature look than KA altogether, and I can't picture her acting like a giggly school girl like the last Taylor did, she will definitely be a more mature version of Taylor and I couldn't be any happier about that.

I would like to know why they keep bringing this character back on this show only to write her as desperate for Ridge, that was never true of Taylor. When she was being held captive by Omar, and Ridge and Brooke came by she accepted the couple. But this junk they are writing now makes no sense, can't be around her children, because she can't stand seeing Ridge with Brooke just nonsense.
