What does Hope and her line has to do with Finn
Hope did not force Finn to go to Deacon and Shelia's wedding he was there to get a pizza. He did not know that that the wedding was going to be there.
Has the episode aired yet? Do we know for sure that Carter didn't come to her and Ridge with the numbers and maybe the line is performing poorly? At one point, didn't they even mention something about putting the line on hold when Eric needed all that money to produce his expensive line? Maybe the money allocation to Eric’s line as well as HFTF losing money made this a problem. We really don't know yet.Steffy is mad, and she dislikes Hope, but for all we know this could really just be a necessary, and at the same time a satisfying, business decision for her.
I doubt that Steffy can just eliminate a line, just because she is mad, without discussing it with the co-CEO Ridge, and maybe even Eric. If HFTF is as wonderful and successful as she thinks it is, as a company, that is interested in profits, and whose reputation and image is important to its success, they would be stupid to get rid of it, for such a petty reason. These people are not new to business.
All I am saying is, who knows if this anger at Steffy is justified yet, based on a spoiler preview that is meant to be vague and get people riled up. Maybe it is just spiteful payback, and maybe it isn't.
Steffy is always messing with Hope’s line! She forced Hope to accept Thomas or she would end the line. Well that didn’t fare too well! Not for the Liam-Hope family and not for Thomas either.
The line was no longer successful without Thomas, so the option was to end it or rehire Thomas. It seems to me that since Thomas is so essential to the line, he is needed more than Hope is. If the line is failing or losing money because of Thomas being gone again (which is unknown at this moment), Hope is literally just the face of that line at this point. Thomas is the MVP. If Hope was talented enough, any decent designer could put on paper whatever vision she has. She needs Thomas’s talent so that she can tweak it, and put her name on it, otherwise the line flops. Makes you wonder if maybe Hope should have gone to design school before being handed her own line day one as an intern. If she could run it successfully without Thomas, it seems that Steffy wouldn't have a leg to stand on.
Exactly. And even Hope knows this because she was all upset when he was breaking up with her and said he could still email her designs from wherever he was going. Literally in the same scene he's ending things with her she's worried about the line and having him design for it so she knows that without Thomas the line is a flop. All Hope has ever done since she was a teenager is approve other people's work and slap her name on it. She's the face of the line because she does ZERO else for it and without a designer, how could there even be a line? That doesn't even make any sense. Hope isn't a creative, she's not funding the line herself so at this point it's a waste of money to have anyone "working" on a line with no fashions. That's why Luna was just sitting around the office taking a pregnancy test. She has nothing to do because there's literally no line to work on. It needs to be shelved if it's not going to turn a profit and without a designer, I don't see how it could be.
Or with designers who don’t want to work together like RJ and Zende….though in RJ’s case I use the word designer very loosely in the first place.
