Once again, the writers are being tone def. They had RJ said that Steffy had to like Luna because Luna was family, related to Finn.

Well, Steffy didn't get that memo when it came to Sheila. And Li didn't get that memo when it came to Luna or Poppy. It's really funny how the writers can write this stuff.

RJ is just a naive, idealistic kid. I don’t take him too seriously.
