Over the years Phoebe has crossed my mind. I did like Phoebe. She seem to be Taylor and Ridge’s only child that was actually a good person. Why did the need to kill her off? She was the only decent one.
It wasn’t Rick. He wasn’t the reason. Taylor was just as involved with Rick as Rick was Taylor. Phoebe was Taylor’s daughter. Taylor had the bigger responsibility not to get involved with Rick
Regardless, what was the point in killing her off. I really just didn’t see the need. I think it would have been better to keep Phoebe. She was the only one that didn’t have a vendetta with the Logans. She loved Brooke
Bell just can’t have some normalcy on the show

That accident was 100% Phoebe's fault. Rick told her several times to stop because he was trying to drive. She had a death wish and it came true.

Rick cheated on her with Steffy, she had every rights to be upset. Rick had opportunities to stop the car. Shouldn't even have started the car to begin with. He also lied about what happened days after the accident. He bears more responsibility than Phoebe in my opinion.

Rick didn’t cheat on Phoebe with Steffy. Phoebe left on tour and broke up with Rick but expected him to still wait for her. Rick moved on with Taylor and Phoebe found out and was heartbroken. She said she gave the couple her blessing but as shown in this clip, she was still very much hurt about it. After Rick and Taylor broke up he kissed Steffy (I don’t recall the exact circumstances of that) and Steffy blabbed to Phoebe about it. That was the final straw for Phoebe and she lost her mind. I think the person to blame most was Taylor. Being a psychiatrist she should first of all have never gotten involved with Rick, and secondly she should have seen, as a mother and doctor, how hurt Phoebe was even though she said she was ok with it. But as usual selfish Taylor saw nothing beyond an opportunity to get back at Brooke, and it cost her her daughter.
