They need to bring Rick back but only if he is the same character. He always gave Ridge issues. Never back down. He would remind Ridge that he is Eric jr. Rick could be a jerk but he never took crap from Ridge.
Rick definitely was not Thorne.
Loved Rick and would actually watch if him as long as he would be the same kind of character

Unfortunately, I doubt the show will bring back Rick anytime soon..given that RJ will be on screen soon and I'm sure he will have a major story.

I am not sure RJ will have a major story. Bridget didn't. Even with Deacon here.

Ashley Jones only came back for short visits. She makes random appearances here and there and it seems like it will be the case for PD (Stephen) as well. I never read anything about a permanent return for Bridget.

It was confirmed Joshua Hoffman will a series regular. When they recast a major character it usually means he will have a major story. (The exception may be Zende, but I hardly consider him a major character).

Bridget WAS a major character. I don't know what they said when she came back. I don't recall RJ ever being a major character. This RJ person can be there without being given a major story. Agree to wait and see.

I agree with you. I don’t think they can write for anyone new. They can barely even writers for characters that are already on screen.
