My prediction for the Lope/Thomas story.

Thomas may be sincere in this moment, but the leopard never changes. They can't help themselves. He may want to change but a sexual predator never changes. He will continue to be a child abuser, stalker and force himself on unwilling women.

That's what I was saying in another thread when I was asking if Hope is right, that means Thomas is now redeemed. Or are we willing to accept Liam is right and Hope is wrong and Thomas hasn't changed? I'm not beyond Hope being wrong sometimes. No character is right in every single choice she ever makes.
