Again as written, Ridge has never been 100% honest with his family about his real feelings for Brooke. She gets called all kinds of names but he loves who he loves and he knows some of her biggest mistakes are partly caused by the way he jerks her around. The characters keep asking why would the Prince of the fashion industry want the valley girl. Why when she tries to find love in other places, he won’t leave her be? He even thinks she’s cheated on him when he’s married or involved with other women. Ridge as written is a dishonest SOB and has created hurt for all around him. Ridge is no prize and all this fighting for his attention and love is ridiculous.

I don't know if this is totally fair. Ridge is no prize and he's treated Brooke horribly, but he did tell all of them about his feelings for Brooke. He told them that he loved Taylor but that it's Brooke he wanted to be with. Even the parent trap, with all the brow beating and Forrester family dinners didn't work on him until Thomas made that call.

Ugh, don't make me defend Ridge!!!

I feel the same way when I have to defend him but fact is he was never conflicted. He was all touchy feely with Taylor because she let him but he was 100% honest with her with no waffling that he wanted to be with Brooke. He treated her with affection like the mother of his kids and he probably thought she was ok with it. If she read too much into it that's her problem. And even Taylor eventually gave up and realized she was getting nowhere with him and went off to Aspen to lick her wounds.

Yup, agree. I hated what Ridge was doing with Taylor, but the fact is, he wanted to be with Brooke, he told everyone that, and he WAS manipulated with that CPS call. So, while Ridge gets some blame, the lion's share of it goes to the three schemers...Taylor, Steffy, and Thomas.

But Taylor allowed a MARRIED Ridge to kiss her etc..just like Ridge allowed his evil brats to bash his wife Brooke nonstop. I don't feel bad for mistress Taylor since she knew all along he was still a married man.

Shown on screen, Steffy blackmailed Bill. Yet, she told Ivy (and Liam too) that “blackmail is a crime”. Per Steffy’s own words, she IS a criminal cuz she has blackmailed.
