He never defends Brooke when others go after her. He's a disloyal jerk. He never puts her first. He thinks because he's the Prince of Fashion he can smile and bat his eyes and behave the way he wants.
Everytime Brooke does restart her life, and successfully Ridges fragile ego can't take it and he's got to mess it up. It's time for Brooke to stand up and start caring about herself for a change.
