Well well she decides she loves one parent more than the other. Obviously the time she has spent with her Dad and him always being there for her supporting her (even being with Brooke despite what has been said) shows that she loves him and wants his happiness.
Her mother is so blind by her infatuation that she'd take Ridge knowing he's conflicted just so Brooke can't have him.
The rifts in the Tridge Family are finally coming home to roost. In a way I agree this looks like Ridge and Thorne with Steffy and Thomas and their relationships with each parent.

In my view, she's doing it because she probably wishes someone had stopped her own dumb ass from marrying Liam when he loved Hope more. She probably thinks she's saving her mother from herself, but also saving both their parents from the inevitable.
