How will the show handle the adoption aspect of this story?

either they share custody 50/50 or one of them will be the custodial parent while the other has visitation,
currently it's thomas that has visitation, but that's what they're aiming to change

Yes, that's how it should work. But, would it be handled the same way if Liam wanted Kelly to move in with him?

It won’t be handled the same way because Bell will somehow have Steffy come out on top. This show is so very one-sided given the fact the Tridge mafia’s misdeeds/crimes always get swept under the rug..while everyone else suffers. IMO.
