If there's a custody case/Thomas's past (Spoilers)

If there is a custody case between Thomas and Lope over Douglas, I'm going to be super interested to see how the writers deal with Thomas's past. We know the show likes to ignore certain characters' crimes. Has it even been mentioned since Taylor returned that she shot Bill in the back and left him to die?

It's kind of surprising to me that Thomas would even challenge Hope for custody when you consider all the stuff that could come out about him in court. It makes me wonder if the show will just pretend they never happened.

If they have Thomas regain custody because Hope and Liam never bring up all the things Thomas did, including using Douglas as a pawn in his psychotic scheme to get Hope, that's going to be infuriating.


I don't see it going to court. Hope will put Douglas's needs first and Douglas will say that he wants to live with his dad and Hope will step aside for Douglas. With the return of Taylor, there is now a real focus on the Tridge family. Douglas living with Hope (Logan) is a problem and the show needs to correct that.


Kid loves his daddy ….kids getting big ..but my bet Hope whines moans and pouts


Why wouldn't she? She is Douglas mother, she loves him and has been taking excellent care of him. What would you want her to do? Pack his bags and be happy he's gone?

No; however, she should be open to shared custody with Thomas. Right now it seems that Douglas is with Hope full-time and Thomas has visitation. If Thomas feels that he would like more time with Douglas, he should say so and she should be open to it. Thomas has not been a danger to Douglas in quite some time and Douglas has been vocal about missing his Daddy.
