Carter's in his mid-30s maybe? Zoe and Paris are in their early to mid-20s. He's not old enough to be their father. Let's get that out of the way. I think the situation with Zoe was more complicated what's happening with Paris. He did actually love Zoe at one point. He genuinely proposed to her. She broke his heart and that's when Quinn showed up and repaired it. The second engagement to Zoe, yeah he was running away from his feelings for Quinn. That's true. As for Paris, Carter is running away from his feelings for Quinn again but he doesn't actually love Paris. Frankly it's hard to have sympathy for her though. The warning signs are all there. She may be young but unlike say Donna, I don't think she lacks the intellectual capacity to see the signs. She's just choosing not to.

Carter's in his mid-40s. Paris is about 20 years younger. He'll use anyone to get what he wants. He is totally devoid of a moral compass, so in that, he and Quinn are just alike, but I wouldn't say compatible. What happens when one lack of compass conflicts with another lack of compass. Paris dodged a bullet by not marrying him, but I still think she's going to announce she's pregnant.

I think Donna's intelligent, but even if she weren't, better to be kind, compassionate, and joyous than a kidnapper, rapist, and murderer who feels nothing but self-loathing.

Carter Walton is the brother (adopted brother) of Marcus. Marcus was born in the 1980s (established on the show) and Carter is close in age. Therefore he cannot be in his mid 40's. He would be 40, at the very most. Paris is in her mid 20s, so unless Carter fathered a child when he was 15 or younger, he would not be old enough to be her father.

That makes his relationship with Quinn even worse. He and Wyatt are just about the same age. Quinn is robbing the cradle.

Carter and Wyatt are not the same age. How old was Quinn when she had Wyatt. Even if Quinn is older than Carter, it is no worse than Eric being with any of the women he's been with (except Stephanie); they've all been significantly younger than Eric.
