Eric's Still Slime
Yes he freed Quinn but let's be clear, he said he was going to tell her "tonight" meaning after Carter's wedding. So not only is he perving on a woman who doesn't appear to have the intellectual capacity of a grown adult and is therefore being taken advantage of, knowing full well how Quinn feels about Carter, that slime was just gonna wait til Carter was married to free Quinn. That's truly vile.
Eric is a fool but he'll never be truly as vile as Quinn..given all evil Quinn has done. Quinn should considered herself lucky that she ain't gonna end up alone and miserable which is what she deserves. At least now she'll get her play toy back.

Shown on screen, Steffy blackmailed Bill. Yet, she told Ivy (and Liam too) that “blackmail is a crime”. Per Steffy’s own words, she IS a criminal cuz she has blackmailed.
