The same reasoning could me made for Liam. Like him or not, he is not written as a criminal or a revengful person who enjoys hurting people. I have never seen Hope as a mean girl either. She is a lot better than her mother or Taylor. I just don't care about the character outside of the triangle. She bores me in half of her scenes. But I agree that Bell sees her the same way he sees Liam. Does not mean every viewers have to feel the way he does.
