Status of Carter and Hope's relationship ? (General)
So they stole a company and they're just randomly having sex at the office between 2 work meetings ? Is that it? Can they get more superficial? It's truly awful. I had low expectations for this couple but I still expected better.
Really makes me realize Hope and Thomas weren't as bad as I initially thought they'd be. Now I miss them and would sign for a reunion if I could. They had a shaky start too, but at least their status was explained. At first it was a NSA free relationship. It was revealed in dialogs they were spending nights at his apartment. And in the 2nd part, they were in a committed relationship. A lot of sex too, but they were doing other things. They had a few dates and a few dinners at his apartment. They were spending time with Douglas. They went to Eric's good-bye party and Eric's wedding preparation together. They were spending a lot of time talking about the past, the children and building a mutual trust. Hope wasn't ready for another marriage, but there was a genuine emotional connection, like when she busted Deacon and Sheila or when Eric was dying. Their happiness was featured, most of their conversations were about themselves and their own feelings. Very few whining about Steffy, Finn, Liam, Ridge or Brooke even when these characters were trying to break them up. They were there for each other. They were actually shown working together, modelling dresses, designing as a team. They weren't hurting anyone and constantly complaining about injustice . Their relationship wasn't plot-driven nor based on revenge against Steffy and Ridge. It was a believable story with a slowburn romance (these are too rare on soaps). They sure weren't perfect (nobody is) but the writing was surely much better.
Everything about Carter and Hope grosses me out. They have become as shallow as Steffy and Finn, which is a huge feat given how I feel about them. They just became a plot-driven couple overnight, with zero buildup. I don't see Carter doing anything to romance Hope, except doing her in Eric's office, convincing himself he is saving Forrester and telling her the same things he told other women (including her aunt a few months ago). They aren't living together. They had sex on his couch once (the same couch used to do Eric's wife) and that was it. They haven't set a proper date yet. They haven't even addressed Liam's kiss and intention to reunite his family with her and Beth. She is in the fashion world and he is an attorney/minister/COO, they really have little in common on a professional level. They are hardly ever talking about business. Didn't have a single scene with Beth. Not a talk about having children, which is literally the reason why Quinn dumped him but he hasn't learnt the lesson. They spend most of their scenes whining about Steffy and Ridge (much similar to the hundreds of scenes Sinn spent whining about Sheila) and trying hard to convince themselves they did something respectable. Nothing is more annoying and unattreactive than a couple that always complains and bad-mouthes other people. I don't feel a bit sorry for Steffy and Ridge but they never treated Carter unfairly at Forrester. Eric had many good reasons to fire him and he didn't. Carter's resentment came out of nowhere. They went along with Electra's firing without asking much questions. Hope used to be very close to Eric who always had her back. It makes no sense to see her so uncaring toward his mental health and her aunt Donna's marriage. I hate Steffy for trying to reunite her parents but Hope is no better if she doesn't't take any responsibility for Ridge and Brooke's crisis. She is giving Steffy and Taylor all the ammunitions they needed to kick Brooke while she's down. What's her purpose right now? Her line wasn't doing well with RJ and Zende (exceptionnal designers if I trust the dialogs), what makes her think the numbers will go up without her 2 lead designers? She was lonely and depressed so she decided to date the first guy showing interest in her, this is the vibe this relationship is giving. She said she had doubts about her feelings and wanted to take her time and 2 days later she was sleeping with him. She is truly unrecognizable. Give her a brain tumor, at this point it'd be more reaslistic. Her fainting at Sheila's, her tremors her headaches were never addressed, that part is bugging me too. They teased a health condition for weeks this spring and summer... but nothing came out of it. It was simply dropped without any explanation.

ITA, the parallels between the 2 pairings are obvious. This couple is pretty much a copy, they just replaced Thomas with Carter and continued their story. Except, every aspects of Thope was done better. The dialogs, the backstory, the buildup, the climax, the plot-driven aspect, the romance part, the timing, the context, the first kiss, the first ILY, the love scenes, the characters' motives, the characters' mindset, the characters' history, the angst, the obstacles, the music, the chemistry. Thope never felt like a rebound because she was fantasizing about him for months while married to Liam, her heart was racing around him. It was made obvious she wanted him and only him, and she wasn't using him to taunt Steffy. Hope never had feelings for Carter before this (and hardly ever interacted with him). She only picked him because she was lonely, desperate and because Thomas is in another country with someone else. Nothing can convince me she wouldn't drop Carter in a NY minute if Thomas was back.
I'm hoping this new girl will free Carter from Hope. I like Carter, I like Hope, but they just don't click together. I have wanted Carter to get his own love interest for years. I thought Zoe was the one, but she wanted Zende. I thought Paris was the one, but he wanted Quinn. Maybe his heart will race when he meets the new girl, and he will drop Hope for her the same way he dropped Paris for Quinn.
Status of Carter and Hope's relationship ?
I agree with what you say about Cope. Although I disagree about Thope and your opinion of Sinn.
I still say Lope should be brought back. I feel like all this feels like bad filler.

Team Zende Forrester; Team Delon De Metz; Team Bridge; Team Daphne; Team Finn
Status of Carter and Hope's relationship ?
Agreed that Cope just doesn’t click.
I want Liam and Hope back together and I think Quinn should come back for Carter. Even if they have to recast. I liked Queric but I like Deric too so let Quinn be for Carter. Bring back Wyatt.
Daphne I suspect is for my man Zende.
