I’m not saying Deacon isn’t attracted to Taylor... he definitely has the hots for her. My point is that he knows exactly what to say to make her vulnerable and feel connected to him. At this point, he’s a far better psychiatrist than Taylor. He made it seem like he and Taylor share a similar history with Ridge and Brooke. Oh, please. Brooke and Deacon had a one-time fling, and later he tried to get with her a couple of times between other women he pursued, and she rejected him every single time. He doesn’t even share Taylor’s opinion about Brooke, but he knows he has to pretend so he can get close to her because Taylor bonds with anyone who shares her dislike for Brooke.
She’s so dense that she still won’t say, “Ridge just isn’t that into me, and I have to move on.” Instead, she frames it as, “I wasn’t willing to do as much as Brooke to keep Ridge,” or something along those lines. Oh, yes, she was willing. She was willing to manipulate, lie, use her kids, and try again and again after being left at the altar more than once. The only problem was that Ridge wasn’t eager to keep her… but hey, it’s easier to just blame Brooke, lol.
Deacon reads her like an open book, and he’s desperate for a rebound so his separation from Sheila hurts less. He can’t just stay single for a while. He gives up on Sheila, and Taylor is an easy target. I hate that Deacon has regressed like this and that Taylor is still the same delusional quack with her Brooke Logan obsession.

He did this to Brooke too. She had just came back from Paris with Ridge and he gave her the impression that he was leaving Taylor because she put that hit on her. Then Ridge pulled the rug out from under her and stayed with Taylor. It devastated her and she and Eric wanted to split up Bridget because he was such a louse.. She came up with a plan to get Deacon to leave Bridget.
Her plan was to get Bridget to see that Deacon was using her and did not love her. He had realized that Brooke was setting a trap for him. Then one night Brooke was drinking alone because she was mourning Ridge. Deacon stopped by and got her to drink more and then he started a similar mantra that he spewed with Taylor. He then went in for a kiss and now we have Hope.
At least Brooke was drunk when she got swept up with Deacon. Taylor is cold sober (at least we think she is). What is this quack of a psychobabble nonsense's excuse? Is it her way to get back at Shelia?
I think he used this same tactic with Macy as well.

Yep..
I thought what happened was she went to talk Deacon out of staying married to bridget. And I thought Brooke spent several scenes/days trying to talk him into leaving bridget and they ended up getting feelings for each other. He agreed to leave bridget, and then he was supposed to tell Bridget the next day. He left Brooke's house. And then he came back and that's when they had sex. Then he did not leave Bridget the next day. I thought he and Brooke had been trying to hold off until he left Bridget.
I agree that it's the same in that he was married and started accepting counseling from another woman and crossed the lines. Deacon was also no good back then, manipulative. I guess he still has that trait.

She was nutty yesterday. She slept with married Ridge, and threw herself at engaged Ridge, even to the point she brought up the glasses to booze with him to get him to do her. And her comment about Brooke “wiggling and giggling” her way back into Ridges life?? How about laying all over married Ridge at a “family” party that his wife was not invited to, and doing it in front of the wife’s sister and daughter. Or hiking her legs up on him after bringing him sushi from his favorite place 2 hours away…or whatever it was she brought. And my personal favorite of her not being willing to compromise her values….spying on Bridge from bushes, spying on Bridge from behind drapery, then waiting until Brooke exited the room to pass out on the floor so “her crush” could find her lying there, and “rescue” her. Or going along with the chakra cleansing so she could dry hump Ridge into discovering that SHE is the one he really wanted….and he didn’t, even after that whole circus performance from Taylor. He went home and told his fiancee what happened. Yup…Ridge did not want her back permanently after the takeover, he just wanted to use her to pump up his ego. But like you say….it is Brooke’s fault….she forced Ridge on Taylor, then cruelly tricked him into rejecting Taylor. LOL.
Taylor never fails. Just when I think she is getting less loony, she pulls me right back in by showing she is as wacky and delusional as ever.
And, I also thought for a moment yesterday that Deacon was playing Taylor. I had a moment where I thought he was even doing it maliciously…but there was no reason. So, I think he is trying to get in her pants and is playing her for that purpose. Dr. Buckingham did it very easily, so did Whip.
He has not even been decent enough to leave Sheila yet. He moved out, but he hasn't even ended the marriage. So no, he can't just be single. He can only be a cheater.
Idk why this show thinks me. She go take up with other women immediately after disappointed by a wife.

Sadly that's who he is going to be very soon.

Idk why this show thinks men should go take up with other women immediately after disappointed by a wife.

If you ask me, he already is. He knows not to put his hands on Taylor like that. Emotional cheating. It's so disappointing because this plot almost mirrors what Ridge just did with Brooke. That's probably why the writers are trying to insert Brooke into it, because otherwise, viewers might notice that Taylor is making an identical mistake. But I suppose they think if they start that "Brooke deflection..." it will work.

I meant I don't know why this show thinks MEN SHOULD go take up with....
Sorry for the typos.

As a Tayfan, I was totally disheartened to hear her blaming Brooke and her sexuality for her heartache.
Before she can move on totally from Ridge, she has to take accountability for her poor choices and put the blame where it belongs...on Ridge and on herself for being a pick me. Pick me. Choose me, Ridge. Love MEEEEEEEE. The reality is she needs to choose herself and what is best for her future. And that is NEVER going to be Ridge.

Deacon is a hot mess. Today, he sits up there and tells Hope how he's not ready to end his marriage, but that the same time, he is text-bombing Taylor?
What in the hell? Taylor got it wrong about who is thinking of her.

This storyline made me realize Taylor is pretty likeable outside bridge. She deserves her own love interest and story.
