Recast if Matt isn't available full-time. (Spoilers)
I am getting whiplash with the back and forths. Back, not back, back, not back. Rumors, fake news and speculations. Either bring him back full-time or end the suspense once and for all. Thope had one very large fandom when they were together. MA was my main reason to watch and I miss him. His departure put the show in a downward spiral. I barely watch anymore and probably won't return unless he's back full-time.
His last 2 returns lasted 10 episodes, what about the next one? If it's just another stint, a Thanksgiving visit with Steffy or to give Ridge a hug or Liam his blessing for his marriage, then it's just more taunting and waste of time.
Between HFTF's return and the new designer's (I forgot his name) inexperience, Luna tormenting his family, Taylor and Deacon's budding romance, Douglas and his years of history with Hope, there would be dozens of reasons to bring him back for good. I always wanted him to have a chance to run Forrester and oust Steffy and Ridge.
Either recast with a new actor that has the same chemistry with AN, or kill the character off. If I know the character is gone forever this way I can delete this soap off my DVR once and for all.

let's not make it worse by getting rid of Thomas
Taylor doesn't deserve to lose another child
Also Matthew is my favorite Thomas can't imagine this show without him.

Well, walk-ons, but you're right, not main. 
Maybe that is telling, even though I did love Windsor Harnon and MA in the roles. Heck, the only one I didn't like was that one who came back and eventually married Katie.
