Brooke pushes Thomas thinking he’s attacking Hope. He ends up in hospital. Hope says she misunderstood. Hope supposedly pushes Thomas in acid and says she’s has no other choice. Am I the only one who thinks Thomas falling off of or into something is a overplayed plot? A vat of acid at a fashion house? It’s all illogical story to me. I want to find something to appreciate but this is as crazy as it gets.

I am as confused as you are. Somehow, Bell is trying to sell Thomas, Shauna and Flo as the big big villains of this story, and he is trying to paint Hope and Brooke as the holy heroines. Except I feel like the roles are being reversed. Hope and Brooke keep calling Thomas violent and dangerous, even though he has never physically hurt Douglas or Hope. Brooke and Hope think Shauna and Flo deserve a life imprisonment because they didn't tell Hope about Beth. Fine. I could understand them if they weren't just as bad. We have Brooke, who has a notorious past for lying and keeping babies away from men like Deacon, Bill and Ridge. Flo saved her sister's life and she didn't even blink. Now we have Hope, using fraudulent methods to gain custody of another man's child. One pushed him off a cliff and lied to the police. The other one caused him to fall into a vat and will likely leave him for dead and become Douglas' mother. Is Bell serious? No way I condone what Flo, Shauna and Thomas did, but Bell is making them look damn good, next to Hope and Brooke. Bell needs to make a decision now. Either Brooke-Hope are the heroines, or they are villains.

I think Bell wants it this way, keeping it ambiguous so the fanbases will carry on the everlasting debate. It seems you have to be either on the Logan side or the Foresters, no inbetween. It's exhausting and frustrating and unrealistic.

There was nothing ambiguous about the scene or the run up to it. Thomas is unstable. He even said Douglas was locked in a closet.

I do however agree with the bold portion.

Tend to agree - this show is often very far-fetched and violent.

Remember the in-vitro getting mixed up and Taylor having Brooke’s baby ?

Or Ridge having all the nerves cut in his arm so that he could not draw and then they magically grow back ?

I found the scene very unrealistic. Hope did not use force. She brushed aside Thomas' unwanted advances to get by- she did not shove him over stair railing. His imbalance was due to out side means.

I think the drugs Thomas are on have made him unbalanced. He dived over that rail like he cartwheeled over those hedges.
