Hero Sheila? (General)

I'm having a hard time swallowing that one. The idea that Sheila's is a hero because she tried to stop Sugar is ridiculous. The monster she created turned on her. Steffy was only in danger because Sugar wanted to get back at Sheila. Sheila trying to stop Sugar was the bare minimum.

I love Sheila, she is an iconic soap villain but I can never see a woman who terrorized people for over 30 years and shot her own son and his wife as a hero, she is far beyond redemption in my opinion.

I agree. If Sheila from now on would only be nice and "good" she and Deacon would soon be backburnered like most nice couples...but why give her a new contract just to put her on the backburner?

Why would sugar contact Sheila and tell her about her plan to kill Steffy just to frame her? She would try to kill Steffy and disappear without telling Sheila anything.Sheila's story is absurd another lie. She's probably the one who wanted to use sugar to kill Steffy but Sugar overpowered and outsmarted her somehow

Sugar would contact her so she'd know it was her who did the framing. People out for revenge typically like the person they're getting revenge on to know it was them.

But the mails make it seem as if Sugar was the one harrassing Sheila. And again, why would Sugar tell Sheila what her plan is before making sure it worked? The cops know that Sugar looks like Sheila since she was recently released from jail, Sheila could have gone to them and told them Sugar's plan? Why would Sugar take that chance?

There are plenty of storylines where the villains reveal their plan just before they are killed. It's quite typical.

I don’t think she is a hero for this. I don’t even think that is the story they are telling. No one has said she was a hero.
She doesn’t even know what happened yet.
When she saved Kelly she was a hero. This is just as you said the bare minimum.

But she didn’t create Sugar. Sugar was never some innocent victim and as stated she wouldn’t have been in prison if she hadn’t tried to kill Lauren’s son.

Yes Sugar helped her escape from the prison for the criminally insane but that didn't give Sheila the right to change her whole face.

Of course not. Sheila committed many crimes, but Sugar gladly committed crimes as well. Lately she wanted to hurt Steffy... A woman she didn't even have any beef with.

Correct. and it was all to try to do part two of her failed plan to commit crimes in the face of Sheila! She already tried it once, failed, and sat up there and did it again like a dummy!

It's absurd that Sheila would send Sugar in to kill Steffy, knowing that if Steffy kills Sugar, Sheila is left for dead, chained to a wall in an abandoned building. Who in the world would sit around an abandoned building for weeks, starving if her "plan" failed?

If Sheila set this up, she would have set herself up to be found a lot quicker than this since she really wouldn't have been chained up. SMH

And that doesn't give Sugar "the right" to go off committing crimes in the face of Sheila TWICE now. Sheila is a victim of Sugar now. Just as if Brooke did something to Thomas to get back at him for what he did to her -- HE would then be a victim.

Exactly. I can't whitewash Sugar and make her a victim just to villainize Sheila. Sugar was gunslinging right beside Sheila. Broke her out of prison and all that. If she was a good person, she wouldn't have been doing all that to begin with and wouldn't have gone after Scotty.

I agree. It’s pretty convoluted thinking if Finn is going to consider this heroic or even anything in the plus column for Sheila. It confirmed the danger his family is in just by virtue of being connected to her. Does Finn not find it strange that Sheila is looking at him like a lovesick puppy instead of having remorse that even if Steffy survived she ruined Sugars entire life?

That is not true. Finn is conflicted. He loves Steffy and the children. He has proved that over and over. He thought his mother tried to kill Steffy. He thought his mother was dead. Now he knows this was some plan by a lookalike Sheila and that his mother was shackled in some dark abandoned building left to die. She was working at the restaurant, living with Deacon not bothering Finn or Steffy. Sugar did all the recent things. While Sheila has done psychopathic things in the past, in the last year the only thing she has done is get angry when Steffy came to her home and attacked her for simply being at her place of work, while Steffy's friend came in with Kelly. How was that Sheila's fault? It wasn't. The way Steffy went after Sheila would have made anyone angry. She is a vicious bully and not afraid to kill others. She has done it before and has tried to kill others. Finn is being demonized for having confusion about how he feels and how he should feel. His stance has never wavered from wanting Steffy and the children safe, but he has to work out just what and if he should have any relationship with his birth mother-the reason he exists.

Sheila is no hero but she has tried to make some changes. But Finn is a great guy. And imo, has put up with a lot from Steffy because he loves her.

What happened with Sugar should make Finn realize that any involvement with Sheila is dangerous for his family. Sugar targeted Steffy not because she hated Steffy or that Steffy did something to her but because she hates Sheila for what she did to her and wanted to cause her pain. She wanted Finn to come home and find Steffy dead on the floor and the kids dead in their beds so Finn would hate Sheila forever. Steffy and the kids could have paid with their lives for the sins of Sheila. If he can't realize that then Steffy needs to show him the door.

I don't see Sheila as a hero... But certainly Steffy can't say that Sheila went into her home and tried to murder her in cold blood anymore.
And if she would acknowledge that Kelly is alive because of Sheila it would be nice.
Finn was forced to stop listening to Xander and accept that in Steffy's eyes Thomas is not only redeemed, but a wonderful human... For doing nothing, but bare minimum for some months. Thomas is also very much welcome into their home. Steffy doesn't have to welcome Sheila into her home (she shouldn't also welcome Thomas there, but that's another topic), but following Sheila to her home to assault her and acting like Finn isn't allowed to love her is too much.

Yup! 100% :cool

Hero Sheila?

I'm having a hard time swallowing that one. The idea that Sheila's is a hero because she tried to stop Sugar is ridiculous. The monster she created turned on her. Steffy was only in danger because Sugar wanted to get back at Sheila. Sheila trying to stop Sugar was the bare minimum.

She didn’t want her grandson killed

She saved Kelly’s life liam never forgave her then … in fact he didn’t look grateful….same for steffy….still don’t like her…I doubt she will be hero worshiped

I actually think the show is redeeming Sheila because for the first time, I don't hear that weird psycho music surrounding Sheila when she's on screen. I guess the show must be in the mood for some major redemption tour..first it was Thomas, and now it's Sheila. LOL.

Shown on screen, Steffy blackmailed Bill. Yet, she told Ivy (and Liam too) that “blackmail is a crime”. Per Steffy’s own words, she IS a criminal cuz she has blackmailed.
