One More Gentle Reminder

In reviewing the posts from the last couple of days, I noticed something that really bothers me.

People are referring to characters on the show by parts of their anatomy. More importantly, some of those references are crossing the line by referring to anatomical parts of the actors who play the characters and not just the characters themselves.

Now I know I try to allow for a bit of leeway in expressing opinions about characters. But when you cross that line between the actor and the character, I've never allowed it, and I'm not about to start now. And even if it doesn't cross that line, does that make it right? I don't think so.

Think about it. Would you want someone calling you a name that's associated with part of your body? I know I wouldn't.

And I also know that other boards may allow those kind of references. But like I have said before, those boards are not this one, and I can only govern what goes on here.

So how about stopping this whole thing before it gets out of hand? These are characters, and in some cases, actors. They're more than just a body part. And whether you like what's going on in the show or not, it's the actors and characters who give you stuff to talk about right here, isn't it?
