Am I the only one that was completely disgusted by Ridge's behavior towards Steffy today. He pretty much told her that regardless if she could prove her innocence it didn't really matter, he still didn't want her at FC because of her dislike and anger for his wife??? WHAT???

I can't help but wonder if the shoe were on the other foot and Ridge was sticking by Taylor instead of RJ, whether he would be viewed as the same callous father. If RJ had come on board at FC and made it clear from the beginning that he was out to get Taylor and said the same old tired boring lines about Taylor stealing Ridge and blah blah blah and had pulled one stunt after another to try to get rid of Taylor whether fans would be applauding Ridge championing his wife instead of slamming him for abandoning his son.

I can't see such a scenario just because Taylor has never been written that way. RJ wouldn't have Brooke's tabloid headline history to throw at Taylor. Even Hope as someone obviously on Brooke's side explained that well-known reputation to Oliver. That is precisely why Steffy has any ground to stand on---Brooke's Deacon and now Oliver scandals. Those are public record. Any other indiscretions Taylor (OR Brooke) has committed probably wouldn't be known by RJ just cause parents don't discuss such matters w/ their kids. Without the sensational tabloid history Steffy has very little ammunition.

And here I thought that Steffy's problems with Brooke were 1) that she took Ridge away from her family 2) that Brooke hurt her mom 3) that FC is their special place and 4) that Ridge is siding with his other family. This sets up a very plausible scenerio if Ridge returned to Taylor one day, Taylor worked with FC along with Jack, Steffy and Thomas, and RJ joined the company. I was just curious if Ridge would be painted with the same brush if Taylor were in Brooke's place and RJ was in Steffy's place.

You are right but much of that is based upon Brooke's scandalous history. In other words how can he continue to make those decisions in light of this kind of behavior? How can Ridge continue to side w/ such a woman?

Then I don't see Ridge ever going back to Taylor cause he made a b/w decision last time. Never say never on this show but that's my current belief. Plus, I don't see a male child of that age taking on Steffy's point of view. I don't see a son having the same kind of attachment issues. Rick did but to me he's been shown as a unique wuse and he's from a much earlier Logan generation.

When steffy got engaged to Rick she never gave her father a second thought. When and if steffy ever gets married this obsession she has for her father will be history. She never pledged to spend the rest of her life with him Brooke DID. BTW what's a unique wuse?
