Whatever happened to that new character they wanted to cast back in January? I think her name was Sacha, Sarah or Samantha (or something like that.). We're entering May sweeps and still no news. Did they drop it?

I sure hope they aren't casting a new girl for RJ. I wasn't crazy about the Hope / Liam / Steffy triangle in 2010 when they were in their twenties but it worked in my opinion. The buzz was real, the fan wars lasted for years, the 3 actors were able to sell it and carry the show for several seasons, with good ratings. A Luna / RJ / XYZ triangle would never work in 2024. He and Luna (and their storylines in general) are an epic failure. The feedbacks I've seen are all negative. A few positive comments but I have yet to find one viewer saying "I love Runa, they are my favorite couple". I've seen fan bases for every other couples but them. They aren't hated either and sadly it's the kiss of death on soaps for a new couple : general indifference, disinterest. That's how I feel at least. I don't care who wins Luna's heart. I don't care about her remorses nor her potential pregnancy. I don't care if Zende sexually abused her or not (stomach-turning storyline but I'm not even mad because I don't care). I don't care about RJ's opinions regarding other storylines. I don't care who is Luna's father. And I will care even less if RJ waffles between Luna and a new girl. I DON'T CARE. Backburn them or send them to another continent. Bring back Zoe or Nicole for Zende Instead of throwing him under the Runa bus.

Probably an unpopular opinion but I keep thinking they should of made RJ gay. It would of explained why he spent so many years away from California and couldn't find love with anyone. Every other soaps write gay romances, and it should be even more important in a soap that happens in the fashion world. I can't think of a better character than Ridge and Brooke's son for that. It would have given Ridge, Brooke, Hope, Steffy and Thomas some good material. How would they deal with this information? It sure would be more interesting than this GARBAGE. Among hundreeds of different SL possibilities, they chose this. Zende forcing himself on a drugged Luna and RJ punching him in the face.

The show desperately needs more fluid characters. However, I don’t want to make RJ gay because to some Runa has failed. That doesn’t feel right.

Casting calls don’t always result in a hire. Also, I have never been confident it was real. The challenge of a gay character on show with such a tiny cast is real but I think it would have been a more interesting story.

I think Luna could work.
I like the actress very much.
She's sweet, a new face and plays the role really good.
But she's mismatched with RJ.
Or they should change J. Hofmann.
Also the writers should do a better job with her father. Let it be a familiar, powerful character, just not Bill.
It could be Eric though, or even Ridge, or Thorne.
Thorne deserves to have a child.

Luna's one of the reasons I quit watching. Still don't watch. I just read here. I think it would have been great to make RJ gay, give him a great looking gay boyfriend. Luna is awful. I won't watch her.

I think it is Luna. She is suppose to be 20. They said the new hire would be for the younger crowd and that seems to be Luna.
